How you open it

Keypads, remotes, key switches, card and fob readers, intercom and telephone entry. Most properties end up with a combination: a remote in each vehicle, a keypad for visitors and deliveries, and a manual key override for when the power is out. Solar operators are worth knowing about here, because running mains power to a gate at the end of a long drive is frequently the most expensive part of the job. A solar system removes the trenching entirely and works perfectly well on a residential entrance.

Safety and power

Automatic gates are heavy and they move under power. A properly installed system reverses when something obstructs it, and photo eyes across the opening stop it closing on a vehicle, a child or an animal. This equipment is not optional and it is not where to save money. Every system we install has a manual release so you can open the gate by hand in a power cut. We will show you how to use it, and where the release is, before we leave.

We show you how it works

We will walk you through operating and caring for the system, set up your remotes and codes with you, and leave you knowing what to do when something goes wrong. A gate operator nobody was shown how to use becomes a gate that gets propped open.

Existing gates and repairs

If you already have a gate and want it automated, or you have an operator that has stopped working, we can look at it. Older units can often be repaired or the operator replaced while keeping the gate.
